Most of us cook everyday or at least every other day I would think. Sometimes when we cook we often have extra food left over or sometimes we cook a lot of food because we are gonna gave guest over our house. When we have gest over we prepare and cook early so that when they reach your home they are ready to be served. In order to keep the food at least warm we need to have the pots an pans covered. I have come across a product that I received for free in return for this honest and unbiased review that may be beneficial to us in regards to keeping the food hot.
The product is the E-Z Silicone Lids and Food cover. The product is made and manufactured by the company Practico Kitchen. It comes with two lids with each being a different size; one is 10.5 inches and the other is 6 inches. You can use them in a freezer, oven and a few other places that you may store or just place food you are saving. The lids create perfect lids for covering food or reheating food. The lids are said to be FDA approved so it is suppose to be safe.
When you use it you have to place it on top of whatever you are covering and press down. By doing this it creates a tight seal for your food to keep warm and safe from any bugs that might be lurking around the house such as a fly or so. I used it when I cooked for my family, which is pretty big. I used both of the lids on top of the pots and used them after I took the food out of the pots when it was just a small amount of food left over. I had them in plastic container bowls and couldn't find the top to the bowl so I remembered that I had the lids and just used it. In the end the lids worked really good and kept my food warm when it was on the stove top and even kept it closed when I put it in the bowl and into the fridge.
I would recommend having these lids because they can be used as a backup for when you misplace your pot lids or your plastic container lids. They come in two different sizes which makes them useful for covering many other things that you may need to store away. The price is only $9.99 for two of them so that seem like a pretty good deal.
