You can use this to reduce the heat in your car and from having the sun shining in your face while in the car. It stretches about 45 inches by 20 inches, so it should fit most car windows, unless you have some extra large custom windows made. It comes with a reusable bag to carry them in just in case you want to switch up your cars.
I placed the window shades on the back windows of my Nissan Altima. I didn't put it in the front windows because they were too hard for me to see out of. They are very dark when you put on them on the windows in the back where at times it was a little hard to see out of them if it is night or day. There is no sunlight coming through the windows during the day, so it does actually make it less hot in the car when you get in. When I first put it on the windows, I had my nephew in the back seat. There is usually a lot of sunlight coming in the back windows on both sides so when he got in the car he didn't have any sunlight on his face.
The other thing that is great about the window shades on the car is that if you have a small child that likes to open the window and throw things out then you don't have to worry about that anymore because as long as the object isn't really heavy then they will throw things at the window and it will come right back in. Having the window shade is great because you can also roll down your window while it is on the car and have a nice breeze come in without your face or arms and such being burned by the suns rays. The darkness of the window shade made you have more privacy in your car.
I would suggest only having them on the back windows of your car because it is hard to see out of the window when the shades are on since they are very dark. You can try it out for yourself to see if you have a different effect. Let you be the judge because everyone's sight is different.
I would definitely recommend the window shade for anyone who owns a car. The window shade is easy to put on your car and fits most cars and Suv's. It made it darker in the car and less visible for people to see inside.
