Today we will be discussing the Touch III Digital Kitchen Scale made by the company Ozeri. The kitchen scale hasa calorie counter and is made of tempered glass. When weighing food and other condiments you can measure from 0.05 ounce to 22 pounds. You can weigh 7 of the most commen foods such as chicken, beef, butter, sugar, flour, eggs and even chocolate. On this scale they also have a button to convert between ounces, pounds, grams and millimeters. Also when weighing food they have a button to subtract the weight of the container from the actual food to give you accurate readings. After 2 minutes of non use it will automatically turn off. This scale comes in 3 colors which are black, red and teal. It requires 4 AAA batteries when it runs out.
I have been using the scale for a few days and this has been the perfect thing for me right now because I have just started dieting and exercising more this month. The scale has come as an extra tool to help with keeping track of the calorie I eat and the amount of foods I am suppose to be consuming per day. Before I would just take a piece of meat and cut up what I think is the right amount.
When using the kitchen scale it was a little hard to figure out whether the scale was actually showing the weight of the food subtracting the glass bowl I used to put the food in. After reading the manual on how to subtract the weight of the bowl then I knew I was doing it correct. I weighed almost everything I could think of using this scale; well everything that I was eating the past week. I weigh things such fruit, vegetables, meat, rice and even cereal. I noticed that since I have been using this scale it has helped me for portion control. I am now getting better at eating the right amount because I wasn't good at measuring the right portion unless I used a measuring cup or so but that doesn't work for things that have to be weighed. This has also helped me because I am dieting as I believe I have mentioned before.
I would recommend this because it seems to be very accurate when weighing certain foods. Some of the best things about this scale is that you are able to subtract the weight of the container you are holding the foods in. The scale is lightweight and beautiful in the design. You can weigh in different measurements such as grams, ounces pounds and more.
